IT jobs in Oslo
For candidates from local area, with relocation or remote-based
Oslo
The Norwegian capital of Oslo is located on more than 40 islands and 300 lakes. The population is a little over 600 000 with 30% being newcomers. The official language is Norwegian, but most are fluent in English.
One of the symbols of the city is the Barcode Project. An area with embankments and narrow and wide buildings of different architecture built according to general geometric conditions. Oslo is Norway's largest economic center. The port city has about a thousand companies related to maritime affairs.
Oslo ranks 5th in Europe by the number of large firms established in the city. Certainly, there is a well-developed maritime infrastructure as well as three airports. Oslo is the most expensive European city to live in according to the EAI (GDP per capita). Naturally, prices in the Norwegian capital are quite high on average. In terms of dining, restaurants can be twice as expensive as similar Italian ones. But, like everywhere else, Oslo has a well-developed street food culture and also has several affordable Asian restaurants. Oslo Town Hall is also located in the city center, where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded annually. One more pleasant fact: in 2019, the city received the title of Green European Capital.
