Berlin
Berlin is the capital and largest city of Germany, as well as the fourth largest city in the European Union. The symbol of the city is a bear. It is believed that the name of the city comes from this word.
During World War II, much of Berlin was destroyed. Later, historical monuments and housing estates were restored in both parts of the city and new areas were added. For several decades, the city was divided into zones of influence: the eastern and western parts of Berlin developed as different cities in different socio-economic systems, which is still very noticeable. Berlin is a major economic center not only for Germany, but also the whole of the EU. The city is an important center of trade as well as a venue for international trade fairs and exhibitions. Berlin is a major transport hub and has a complex and diverse transportation infrastructure. In Berlin, there are more than 2500 squares, parks and places for having a rest.
A high degree of order allows Germans to plan their lives and avoid unnecessary stress. The Germans know how to work and know how to relax, they clearly understand their rights and responsibilities.
