Job Brief
As a product designer, you will be expected to be well acquainted with Interaction/UI design and Virtual Design. You will be required to design a product from the very beginning to the end. 70% of companies will also require you to provide a prototype of your design, so be ready to do some prototyping. You need to have knowledge of tools like InVision, Principle, and HTML JavaScript to perform these tasks.
In some positions, you will also be needed to carry out user research and user testing in order to create the product design. In general, you should be eager to work under time constraints and always be eager to learn new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop graphics, concepts, and layouts for better product illustrations.
- You will be expected to create a new design for an intuitive experience.
- Ability to coordinate with content and strategy team as and when needed
- Ability to design websites, products, apps, banners, logos, and layouts
- Work as part of a team to develop design ideas
- Creating prototype designs
- Identifying the sustainability and efficiency of the design
Key skills and experience
- Interaction/UI design and visual design
- Demonstrated interest in typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Making use of existing design principles to create a layout
- Knowledge of basic tools like Sketch, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Preferred familiarity with cross-platform and multi-step flows.
- Must be familiar with HTML, presentational JavaScript, and CSS to develop a program
- Should be skilled in visual design to express the product in a better way
- Knowledge of markets, business, and technology
- Able to work as a part of a team to design concepts
- Familiarity with testing tools, as you may be asked to test the design
- Possess conceptual thinking
- Familiarity with web and all the latest devices is a must
- Fluency in communicating with product leads and engineers
- Knowledge of color theory is a must
- Able to prototype and familiarity with InVison and Principle
- Being able to think out of the box to create attractive and efficient designs
