The most developed IT-areas are Urban-tech and Biotech. There is also heavy industry in Austria, such as Siemens and Bombardier factories, which also need IT specialists.
High salaries are eaten up by high taxes, however, there are high unemployment benefits for children, free education, medicine, museums and other cheap leisure activities sponsored by the state. The whole of Austria is very safe. Partly due to the high minimum standard of living, partly due to the strong and expensive police. The national sport of Austria is skiing. Though it is quite expensive, they have one of the most beautiful tracks in the world. Austrians love cars. The roads are excellent, people drive politely and follow the rules, making driving a pleasurable experience. Austrians love and protect their nature. There are many parks and, of course, magnificent forests with plenty of wildlife.
Additionally, there are wonderful mountains where for going hiking. Austria is a great choice for a stable and measured family life.
